Move Out Policy

In order to process your move out quickly and ensure that you do not incur additional charges, please do the following:

  1. Provide written notice of intent to move out 5 days prior to planned move out date. Notice may be given by completing the form below; or sending details by text to 330-632-3260 or email to moveout@summitselfstorage.com.
  2. The unit(s) must be empty, free of personal belongings, free of trash, broom swept, and in clean condition without stains and/or damages.
  3. Send a photo of the cleaned out unit by text to 330-632-3260 or email to moveout@summitselfstorage.com. Ensure that the unit number is visible in the photo.
  4. Remove your lock and close the roll-up door. Leave the unit unlocked.
  5. Remove yourself from autopay through your tenant portal.

Per your rental agreement (Section 4, Termination), you will continue to accrue charges until you complete these steps. Leases renew and rent is charged on the 1st of each month. If your move out date is after the 1st of the month, rent for that month wil be due. Account must be current with a $0 balance. Rent for the move out month is not prorated.

Once you have moved out your belongings in accordance with the move-out policy (be sure to take your lock!), your move-out will be finalized, and you will receive electronic confirmation.
